Most recently, Eric operated his own consulting firm, Tipping Point Strategies, which provided strategic public affairs advice in managing complex public policy, media and governmental relations challenges. |

Eric Shuffler serves as a seasoned, strategic adviser, speechwriter, communications and public policy consultant for corporations and non profit organizations. As a partner at Fox & Shuffler, he represents some of America's leading companies in devising strategies to complex public policy, media and governmental affairs challenges.
Eric has more than ten years of high-level public policy, communications, strategic planning and speechwriting experience. Most recently he served as principal speechwriter, policy and budget advisor in two gubernatorial administrations. He also spent ten years as a senior advisor in Congress.
As counselor to New Jersey Governors McGreevey and Codey, Eric developed policy and communications strategy, interacted with the media, and built constituent and grass-roots coalitions to advance a broad Gubernatorial agenda. His accomplishments include passage of the preservation of the New Jersey's Highlands, New Jersey's most significant environmental achievement over the past thirty years.
Prior to serving as Counselor to the Governor, he was Chief of Staff in the New Jersey Department of Transportation. He directed the development, marketing and implementation of two major reform efforts, improvement of New Jersey's Division of Motor Vehicles and the State's E-Z Pass system. These efforts resulted in successful legislative and administrative reform plans that have been widely praised by New Jersey policymakers and editorial boards.
While serving as Chief of Staff in the Department of Transportation, Eric also headed the Governor's Office of Recovery and Victim Assistance. He oversaw New Jersey's efforts to assist family members and victims of September 11th and led the State's efforts to secure recovery dollars from Congress.
Before coming to the New Jersey Statehouse, Shuffler worked ten years in Congress for both Senator Frank Lautenberg and Senator Bob Torricelli. He served as Chief of Staff and staffed the Senate Finance Committee.
Eric currently serves on the board of directors of Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, New Jersey After 3, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing quality after school programs throughout New Jersey. Eric Shuffler graduated from the University of Michigan in 1992 and cum laude from the Columbus School of Law at Catholic University in 2000. He lives in New York City with his wife, Amy, and two sons, Madden and Brody.
