Douglas L. Kennedy is the State Market President - New Jersey for Capital One Bank. He has been a major player on the New Jersey banking scene for more than two decades. Doug is responsible for significant commercial development and economic growth in New Jersey, and has worked to develop banking relationships with the major companies of the state.

A prominent member of New Jersey business and community service organizations, Doug serves on numerous boards. In addition to Doug's role as Chairman of New Jersey After 3's Board of Trustees, he also serves as Chairman of Montclair State University’s Board of Trustees, and an active trustee of Tri-County Scholarship Fund. Doug is also a member of the NJ Performing Arts Center, the NJ State Chamber of Commerce, and the NJ Banker’s Board of Directors. He is an active supporter of United Cerebral Palsy. In addition, he is the past chairman of NationsPort, a coalition of business and labor leaders who support and ensure the continued development of the Port of New York and New Jersey.
A native of Weymouth, Massachusetts, Mr. Kennedy holds a B.S. degree in economics and an M.B.A. degree from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut. Mr. Kennedy currently resides in Mountain Lakes, New Jersey.

There are many ways to get involved. Reach out to our partner afterschool providers and offer your help. Be vocal about expanding afterschool opportunities in your school district. Contact your legislators to get them on board. Make a donation to help match state dollars to expand afterschool programs.
